Word from The Almshouse
Twelve times a year, a letter arrives in the post from an almshouse in the south of England. It is written by a parish priest, printed on good paper, signed by hand, and posted with a real stamp. The subjects are whatever has been worth noticing that month: the flowers, the chapel, the woman two doors down, the weather.
